The creek in our name is a tribute to those twisting waterways of New England, the adventures they bring, and the water within them.  The paddles in our logo are a tribute to the brewing process and the paddle used to propel us through the unpredictable creek of life.  We hope you can help us continue our adventure Up The Creek.

The beauty of beer is that it has limitless expression and our mission is to create beers that express our creativity and inspire moments for those that drink our beer.   We will always strive to expand our creative offerings and hope we have a chance to collaborate with our customers and experience this adventure together.  We will always strive to make a beer that creates the need for another sip.

Through the Years

^
1997

The Beginning

Our Founder and Brewer graduated from College as a Major in Chemical Engineering. One Christmas shortly thereafter, he received a “Home Beer Kit” and the passion for brewing was ignited.

2015

Home Brew Club Formed

Brewing 5 Gallon Batches on our kitchen stoves for years, our small group grew to 6 official members as we formed a “HomeBrewers Club” and named it PADDLE CREEK BEER COMPANY

2016

Our First “Brewery”

It was only a single car detached garage in Granby, CT but we spent 5 months building and outfitting the brewery equipped with new brew system with 30 Gallon Kettles, Mash Tun, and elevated sparging resevoir. We built a fermention room and a storage/cool room, both fully insulated and with independant A/C and Coolbot Temp Controls. We ran all new Electrical, sealed the floors and installed an RO Walter Filtration System. We bought our own Kegs and created a custom 3-head bottling system with lines running directly into the storage/cool room. Our first batch produced 75 size 22oz bottles of a West Coast Style IPA called “West Company”, which was also the first beer we had listed on Untappd.

1st Official Can Sale

On August 1st 2020, we opened our doors for the first time in our new home on Main Street in East Hartford. The new space features a brand new 7 Barrel Brew System, 4 Fermentation Tanks, Large Walk-In Cooler, Tap Room and Outdoor Patio. We launched with 3 beers available in cans-only including Citranade, Lawn Racer and Hop Mower. The Tap Room wasn’t open yet but from 10am till 5pm we had plenty of walk-up customers who were happy to celebrate the launch with us. #PaddleOn
